Located in the beautiful volcanic region of the central north island, close to Mt Ruapehu and Lake Taupo, Volcanic Chocolate produces sweet indulgences for any occasion, from wedding favours to corporate gifts and of course those annual celebrations such as Valentines Day, Easter and Christmas!
The talented chocolatiers and owners, Paul + Sande Jansen, especially enjoy experimenting with different flavours and challenging what we know and expect about chocolate! The Volcanic Chocolate team can even customise and personalise flavours to create something completely new! We’re excited to see what the team come up with in collaboration with some of the other extraordinary businesses we have a part of the Treats of Taupo.

The Jansen’s chocolate education began when they trained in the art of making chocolates and pralines and "Bean to Bar" at Savour Chocolate & Patisserie School based in Melbourne, Australia. Following the completion of the first class they attended, they knew that producing these sweet delicacies was their future pathway!
